A bit about my journey...
Throughout my degree, I worked for various crisis homelessness services in support and case management roles. As a young, soon-to-be Social Worker, I quickly understood the importance of having support in your formative years as a child/ young person.
After my degree, I chose to follow this interest and moved to work as a School Counsellor across two primary schools. This very special experience taught me how meaningful it is to be a calm, safe, consistent and reliable person throughout a child's counselling experience.
I then made the jump to work with adolescents as a School Counsellor in one of Australia's leading Independent Boarding Schools for boys. My time there formed my passion for working not only with mental health, yet also for young athletes and people managing performance pressures. I undertook further study and training in Nutrition & Sports Psychology to enhance my practice in these areas and to appropriately cater for this need.
After working with boarding students, I was exposed to the importance of increasing the accessibility to support for people who live rurally. As such, to help make counselling sessions be more convenient, I offer boarding school visits and Telehealth counselling sessions.
Currently, I am back working in a co-educational setting, supporting adolescents as a School Counsellor in one of Australia's 5-Star Best Schools.
I now also privately offer in-person and online counselling sessions, Walk & Talk Therapy and Boarding School Counselling Visits. I am committed to expanding the reach of people with whom I can support, as through my experience thus far, I know that it is needed.
